Wowaweewah, here’s a teaser of Fiona Apple’s new video for “Every Single Night.” It looks as trippy and intense as the song itself—in this 15-second clip, there’s a shot of Fi in a messy, cluttered bedroom, paddling through a claustrophobic tank of water, attempting to swim on land in the grass and dirt among snails (her favorite thing), and dutifully traversing a bridge while what looks like a tentacled monster lurks in the background. There are several images of the Eiffel Tower, and focused beams of light appear in multiple shots. What does it mean? Fiona may not even know. “I told [director] Joey [Cahill] just to come up with a bunch of things and just do things to me and put me in situations and surprise me,” she tells Pitchfork.

The Sundance Channel premieres the video in full this Sunday at 8 p.m.
